Red Cross Standard First Aid & CPR Training

Standard First Aid – 16 Hours of Class Time (2 days)

This course is a comprehensive two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Certification is valid for 3 years.

  • Includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.
  • Meets federal and a variety of provincial/territorial regulations for Standard First Aid and CPR.
  • Exceeds competitors’ standard by including injury prevention content, CPR and AED.


Who should attend?

This course has no prerequisites. It is open to anyone who wants to learn how to respond to emergencies at home, at work, or in the community.

To receive a 3-year certification in Standard First Aid and CPR, participants must demonstrate:

ü 100% attendance

ü First Aid and CPR skills

ü 75% min. passing grade on written exam



6–9 hours; includes CPR Level A, C, or HCP and AED; adheres to local legislation
