About Pathways
We are very proud to have the opportunity to introduce you to our company, our staff, and our services. Pathways Educational Services was founded in the spring of 2000 by Jennifer Wilkins. Jennifer has degrees in sociology and psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University and she is T.E.S.L. certified. Combining her skills and knowledge, Jennifer developed and delivered job search skills training to clients throughout the Waterloo Region.

As Pathways matured, the number of programs expanded, and a professional team was created to deliver academic upgrading, Essential Skills training, English as a second language, GED preparation, College preparation, computer training, and work placements. As an established training facility, Pathways has consistently demonstrated that our organization has the talent and resources required to develop effective training products and a range of fundamental training services.

Pathways is an acknowledged source for professionally-crafted, adult training resources and course materials. Not only have we created our own internal training materials, but with a view to expanding our services and sharing our expertise, Pathways Educational Services developed workbooks for the Office of Literacy and Essential Skills. The Vocabulary Building Workbook can be ordered free of charge from the OLES website.

The corporate culture and values at Pathways are reflected in the high-calibre training that we provide. We value the principles of adult education and encourage a culture of life-long learning. We respect others and work to achieve rewarding partnerships. The team at Pathways is made up of talented experts who believe that knowledge acquisition should be interesting, flexible, enjoyable, challenging, and practical. We believe that effective training must be relevant to the needs and experiences of the participants.

Social responsibility is intrinsic to our organizational structure. The training and development of “knowledge workers” has become pivotal to the Canadian economy. With a view to the future, we are guided by a commitment to enhance the skills and knowledge of Canada’s most important resource…people.
